Do you really need to switch to a WiFi 6 router?

Since WiFi 6 has so many excellent features, do you really need to switch to a WiFi 6 router? You should consider four aspects.

1. Bandwidth angle (based on terminal devices as WiFi 6 network card devices)

Firstly, there is no doubt that a larger supported bandwidth would be even better. But according to the barrel effect, in this era, the external network speed of households first depends on their broadband. Currently, there are not many users installing gigabit bandwidth. More importantly, the bandwidth is less than 500 megabytes. So in reality, there won't be a significant improvement in your external network speed. For internal LANs, theoretically, the speed of inter network transmission can be significantly improved after losing the limitations of external broadband.

2. Throughput

This is the most important improvement. Nowadays, many households are using IoT devices. Personally, I have over 30 devices connected to the Mi home. The desk lamp, TV, mobile phone, notebook, pad, air purifier, and floor sweeper in the home are everywhere, all of which are connected to the Internet. This is a test of the router. WiFi6 solves this problem very well, with multiple terminals and low latency.

3. Delay

To be honest, the previous delay was 30ms, but now the delay is 20ms. For ordinary users, the perception is not very obvious. Maybe I have feelings for esports players. I am a player like Xingyao Wang who only hates cutting off his own hands. I'm absolutely sorry to blame the internet, but if I don't perform well when playing with others, it must be because the internet is too slow.

4. Energy saving
